  1. This is great!

In your first mention you state “If you don’t actually have a goal, you will never achieve it.” This is a “major key”. Often times we’re shooting in the dark with no real target in mind and without a target there’s no way to gauge progress because you’re not actually sure where you’re headed. This is we’re doubt, depression and unhappiness really shine their ugliness. In this period of uncertainty time is passing you by and that’s a commodity no one can afford to lose. However, by having clear cut targets, or goals, you not only give yourself something concrete to strive for but also you gain the ability to measure and track where you are to ensure you’re moving in the right direction.

Which brings up another good tip. One that fits perfectly with the support system you mentioned in #4. Someone, whether it’s a friend, colleague, mentor or just a person who has your best interest in heart. Assign that person to hold you accountable to your goals. If you say I’m going to have “x” number of clients or I need to do “y” by this date in order to take the next step in achieving your goal, who’s going to make sure you do it and hold you to your timetable? Sticking to the smaller goals, the “daily bricks” as I like to call them are key to the completion of the dream house you’re trying to build in your life.
